Who could resist this gorgeous Luna Petunia Doll? She’s a wonderful 35cm tall, comes with sounds looks just like the adventurous animation you can find on Netflix. Beautiful bright blue sparkly hair, big eyes, a large friendly cute smile and her signature brightly coloured petal dress! … “She’s adorable!”, squealed Ro And Ra.
She’s easy to unpackage, with just one plastic grip tie that secures her around her neck and comes with batteries already installed. You will need snips or a strong pair of scissors to cut this. Once out of the box you just want to cuddle and hold her.
What’s The Luna Petunia Doll Like To Play With?
As mentioned earlier she has amazing bright blue, super soft, sparkly hair, big brown eyes and a friendly smile. Her blue hair is soft and sparkly, tied up in a pony tail with a small clear elastic band. Plus she has her glittery, purple pink head band that you can take on and off (in the series the flower spins around and changes colour in Lin with Luna Petunia’s emotions).
Her petal dress is held together at the back with velcro andit’s here you’ll find the battery compartment (3xAG13) and a built in speaker (this doll shouldn’t go near water!).
Around her neck you’ll find her magical necklace that when pushed plays lots of her favourite phrases from her shows such as
“Stop, Breathe And Believe; Let’s Play; Believe With Luna”.
The necklace actually pushes into a small found button on Luna’ chest so if the charm necklace ever comes off and gets lost you can keep pressing his area and she will still talk.
Bangles adorn her arms and although the larger bangles are little difficult to get off the smaller ones come off quite easily. Something to keep an eye on these if you have a child that likes to put things in their mouth.
The fun striped tights are part of the doll which gets a big thumbs up from me (why is it that kids always want to undress their dolls?!). And she has the most amazing purple wellies that are designed to be removed. Again younger kids may need help getting them back on. There’s a knack to doing it and as you’ll see in the video, Ro and Ra struggled the first time round!
She’s a great size to play with, cuddle and have as an ornamental doll. The strong sturdy purple boots allow her to stand up on her own which is great for imaginative play as you can interact with Luna without needing to be hands on.
She will also sit down, although you do need to put her legs into a side split to do this.
The lovely variety of phrases that come up in a random order will give magical prompts to lots of different types of imaginative play and mean that conversations between child and Luna or even Luna and another toy should never become stale!
She’s advertised as having hair you can style. This needs to be treated with a little caution and could be disappointing, especially to younger kids. I would recommend that fingers are used instead of a brush. Having said that Luna’s hair doeas look lovely when it’s out of her pony tail and an adult can carefully tie it back up using an old loom band!
