Why Choose a Stationery Advent Calendar?
Stationery advent calendars are a brilliant alternative to the usual beauty and food calendars, especially for the millions of us who love pens, notebooks, paper, stickers, journaling supplies and beautiful desk bits.
What makes them so much fun is that each calendar has its own personality. Some are calming and mindful, some focus more on pens and practical stationery, some are perfect for journaling and planning, while others are fun, colourful, luxurious, or simply a lovely “just because” treat.
And of course a Stationery Advent Calendar gives you a gorgeous supply of themed stationery products to use throughout the following year!
I find that rotating between the different stationery calendars each year provides the best experience. Even though the theme may change, most brands include a similar mix of product types each year, so switching calendars is a fun way to keep the surprise element fresh.
This year, Papier has both a 12-day and a 24-day Stationery Advent Calendar to choose from, and I’m just a little bit excited about this!
The 12-day calendar was available in the US and Australia last year — and possibly a few other countries — but it never made it to the UK. Either way, the full product reveals for this year are still under wraps, but you can currently sign up to Papier’s ‘first dibs’ email list to be among the first to hear more.
Papier’s 24 Doors of Desk Delights Stationery Advent Calendar is always centred around luxury planning and organisation. And that includes the gorgeous packaging, which is practically begging to be reused for storing stationery, jewellery, craft supplies, knick-knacks, small toys and more.
I tend to dismantle the calendar and use the individual tray compartments to carry and organise my art supplies, embroidery tools and threads. I also keep all the cute little boxes, as they’re perfect for gifting smaller presents in!
The calendar is a bit of a splurge, with last year’s version costing £140, but it contained £200 worth of high-quality stationery treats. And it really is high quality. It’s usually filled with gorgeous brass stationery accessories, beautiful pens and practical notebooks or mini journals. There’s also normally something a little bit quirky included, such as a photo frame, mini stamp kit or jigsaw.
It’s a gorgeous luxury calendar and a joy to open, but the contents don’t tend to change dramatically from year to year. Don’t get me wrong: the design and theme change, and you may receive a mini diary rather than a mini journal. However, like a few of the other stationery advent calendars featured on this page, Papier tends to follow a familiar format, meaning certain types of products are likely to appear each year.
It also doesn’t tend to sell out immediately — although it does eventually sell out — so you should have a little time to decide whether it’s the right calendar for you.

Colorverse Colorvent Calendar 2026
Last year was the first time I’d unboxed a Colorverse Colorvent Calendar. Although I didn’t love every single colour, I absolutely loved the experience, the way it was presented and, of course, those gorgeous glass bottles!
The Colorverse Colorvent Calendar contains 24 brand-new fountain pen inks, each presented in one of Colorverse’s beautiful signature-style glass bottles. The selection includes a lovely mixture of standard, sheening and shimmering inks, with a completely new colour to discover each day.
One thing to bear in mind is that most of the inks remain exclusive to the calendar. Customers are invited to vote for their three favourite colours, with the most popular shades then released as regular full-sized bottles the following year.
Some people are understandably disappointed that they can’t buy full-sized bottles of all the inks. I completely understand how frustrating it could be to fall in love with a colour, only for it not to be one of the shades chosen for release. Personally, though, I don’t mind only having the smaller sample bottles. I rarely finish an entire bottle of ink, and having lots of smaller colours encourages me to keep switching things up and being more creative in my journals and notebooks.
The 2026 edition also has a few extra additions that make it even more exciting. As well as the much-loved Golden Ticket, which is hidden inside a very limited number of calendars, this year’s calendar includes an exclusive ink swatch sheet and coupons offering four different benefits. These add a little more fun and value to the whole Colorvent experience.
Interestingly, the Colorverse Colorvent Calendar remains surprisingly elusive in the UK, despite being readily available in the US and across much of Europe. I bought mine from an Italian stationery company called Stilo & Stile, which is very easy to order from. I’ve since bought several other products from them without any problems, so they’re always a company I’m happy to recommend.
The 2026 Colorverse Colorvent Advent Calendar costs £171.98 and is available now to pre-order here.

Martha Brook 24 Days Of Stationery Advent Calendar 2026
The gorgeous Martha Brook Stationery Advent Calendar 2026 is one of the few Stationery Advent Calendars that need to be ordered early in the year due to issues with fake ‘copy-cat’ versions back in 2024.
There is now alimited pre-sale during early May every year (I’ve got my copy), but if you’ve missed out on the pre-sale, it’s worth putting yourself on the waiting list, as last year there were a few extra Advent Calendars that became available around October!
The theme is always tightly under wraps (even for me), but always follows the same look and feel, being styled like a set of books, with 24 individual boxes (approx. 15.2 x 10cm) housed inside an outer box measuring 28.5 x 16 x 10cm. There has been a small price increase this year, with the 2026 calendar now priced at £115 (up from £109 last year).
It’s a beautiful calendar and makes a truly gorgeous gift. The designs tend to be heavily influenced by nature and traditions — perfect for stationery lovers who enjoy journaling, reading, and mindful creativity. What really sets this calendar apart is that it’s not just about what’s inside — the packaging is part of the experience.
Important: Pre-sale & Scam Warning This calendar sold out during the May 2025 pre-sale, and demand is expected to be just as high this year. It can only be purchased via the official Martha Brook website. Numerous scam websites appear every year offering “discounted” versions — these are fake. Please don’t be tempted — if the price looks too good to be true, it is.

Cult Pens Stationery Advent Calendars 2026
Cult Pens is back again with two more ‘cult’ Stationery Advent Calendars (pun intended) that are perfect for fans of stationery and creativity. And this year’s 2025 Cult Pens Advent Calendar theme is inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi. These calendars are all about the pens (and sometimes pencils), so if you’re after notebooks, to-do lists and sticky notes, these aren’t the calendars for you.
Priced at £95 (the same as last year), their Turquoise Edition calendar promises to be full of pens, storage, accessories, and something to write on or in, totalling much more than that price. Their clue for this year is that the calendar will be filled with a mix of useful things which will “make a mark, rub out a mark, store a mark-maker, decorate things you might have marked, or are happy to be marked”.
The Cult Pens Stationery Advent Calendar, turquoise edition, can be purchased here.

Hubman & Chubgirl Holiday Happy Mail Advent Calendar 2025
Hubman and Chubgirl is a cute stationery brand based in Canada. It’s a new brand to me that was mentioned by one of my followers on my YouTubechannel last year. Hubman and Chubgirl are known for their cute cartoon-style images that are designed in-house (by Chubgirl) and often follow a theme. I would say they’re journal-centric with cute notebooks, sticker sets, and accessories.
Their attention to cuteness makes their Stationery Advent Calendars highly prized. They focus a lot on mindfulness alongside creativity, and have created a couple of calendars that can be purchased and used all year as a little pick-me-up gift.
As it’s Christmas, I’ve focused on their Holiday Happy Mail Stationery Advent Calendar, which is new for this year, and contains unique products only available in the calendar! All the little Advent boxes inside the calendar have been designed so they can be reused. I’ve ordered this to unbox, although because it’s being sent from Canada I have no idea when it will arrive!
The calendar costs $180. I had a discount code that gave me $36 off, and then I had to pay an extra $30 for shipping, $24.81 in taxes. So the total was $208.81, which cost approximately £162.50.

Diamine Invent Advent Calendar 2025 Teal Edition
Diamine’s annual Inkvent calendar has become the stuff of legend, and this year’s is rumoured to be the best yet. It’s filled with 25 little bottles of ink in a variety of lovely colours. Behind doors no. 1-24 there is a bottle of 12ml ink, while behind the 25th is a larger 30ml bottle (because it’s Christmas after all).
All the inks are brand new. Some are standard, some sheen, some shimmer, some smell (nice), and some are chameleons (they change). And, this year, for the first time, there’ll be some pigment inks, including pigment shimmers and pigment chameleons.
It’s a fabulous introduction to ink for anyone interested in creative writing, ink illustrations, and art. Personally, I think this year’s calendar is my favourite!
Last year it cost £88. This year it’s going to cost £92 costs and can be pre-ordered at Cult Pens.
