A few weeks before Christmas I nipped up to London to get a sneak peak of the New Spring Summer Fashion Collection from The Jacques Vert Group. Either I’m getting old or The Jacques Vert Group has really upped it’s games in the fashion stakes … I’m going for the later!
For those that don’t know the Jaques Vert Group consists of Jacques Vert, Kaliko, Windsmoor, Planet , Eastex, Dash, Precis Petite and Minuet Petit. These brands cover everything from ‘Mother of The Bride’ elegance to high quality ‘Casual Weekend Leisure’ wear.
The following three brands were my personal favourites
JACQUES VERT
Jaques Vert has stuck with their traditional elegant occasion wear which includes some cool separates that could easily be worn as smart every day clothes. I loved the mix of fabric textures and on trend colours colours (blush pinks, greens, silver, cream and navy) and I was really taken with a vintage style lace wrap cardigan that would look amazing with a pair or skinny jeans and flats in the Spring.
They’ve also launched a petite collection of some of the outfits (5″ 3′ and under).
The head wear though … that was just dreamy.
They’ve teamed up with Rachel Trevor-Morgon to create a fantastic collection of vintage inspired head wear. These hats/fascinators cry out to be worn and loved. Weddings, Summer Fetes, picnics, days out even in the beach. Simple and unfussy they add a touch of sophistication and class to a woman’s wardrobe
My personal favourite was this. With an air of Audrey Hepburn about it I think it would work wonders as a sun hat in the summer with a pair of jeans, vintage summer dress as add a bit of glamour to a bathing costume and cool shades on the beach.
KALIKO
The Kaliko collection was gorgeous, fun and flirty and their show stopping bridesmaid dresses (a first for the Kaliko brand) took center stage. Ice cream parlour peppermint, buttercup, blossom and mint colours teamed with sparkly accessories generated a collection of vintage glamour that would be perfect for dressing up or down.
The attention to detail and quality is wonderful with mixed textures, lace, diamante, sequins, ribbon and pleating creating head turning outfits. A lot of it is occasion wear but the majority of it could easily be dressed down with a pair of sandals/flats to make gorgeous every day summer outfits.

The accessories and jewellery had my inner magpie flapping.
Again pulling in vintage glamour with diamanté, pearls and beading Kaliko have created a wonderful range of pieces that can be used to dress up both occasion wear and casual wear putting the wow into belts, feathered head bands and amazing necklaces.
ZANDRA RHODES DESIGNS CAPSULE COLLECTION FOR COLEBROOKE BY WINDSMOOR: SPRING/SUMMER 2015
This is such an exciting collection and I can’t wait to get my hands on these stunning and easy to wear tunic tops that will attract interest form young and old and us inbetweeners! KNown for her bold designs Zandra Rhodes has created seven designs made from light weight floaty chiffon fabric in monochrome, fuschia and blue shades. The tunics have either water fall sides or open front (Robe style). You can also buy atching scarves that look great around the neck or worn in the hair.
They are stunning and perfect for wearing over leggings, slim cut trousers, jeans or even over bathing costumes on the beach. Slip a plain long sleeved top on underneath and you get almost all year wear out of them.
My kind of glamour.
