Quick And Easy Halloween Table Decorations

It’s that Spooky time of year and my girls are getting more and more excited at the thought of some Halloween Fun. As they’ve grown up so have our Halloween Decorations and we’re now at a stage where they really appreciate all the little finishing touches and extras that help create a bit of atmosphere.

And that’s why I turn to my beloved Cricut Explore (for those that don’t know a Cricut Explore is an electronic cutting machine that can cut paper, card, fabric, foam, cork etc). It’s perfect for pulling together some last minute Halloween Table Decorations. By using a mix of Cricut vinyl, window cling and black card it’s easy to transform things I already own into fun Halloween accessories.

Cake Stand

Circuit Halloween Cake Stand

Taking a cake stand with simple clean lines, I used my Cricut Explore to cut a web out of black vinyl which was then carefully positioned on the top. I linked a small bat border together to make three long strips that were then placed around the rim of the stand. An upcycled dolls head (tutorial here) looks perfect placed in the middle on a bed of dried flowers protected by a glass cloche. There’s still plenty of room for biscuits, cakes or sweets around the edge! Vinyl is the perfect material for this as you can wipe it clean with warm water  without damaging the web. A little care is needed with the bat border if you want to keep it for a few days as the back of the bats is sticky where it hangs down below the rim.

Lanterns

These lanterns look beautiful placed around the house or grouped together on a table and by using the circuit explore, detailed images like these, take a few minutes rather than the hours required when cutting by hand.

Cricut Window Cling is a newish product and perfect for adding detail to glasses and bottles as well as windows of course! It takes about 10 minutes from start to finish (depending on how many your cutting out) to select your image, cut, peel and then position. They are super easy to position, simple to peel off afterwards and you can carefully store them for use the following year. There are quite a few different Pumpkin face decals to choose from within the Cricut Design Space and you can have great fun repositioning the faces throughout the night!

That cake stand is just brilliant, I actually wasn’t expecting it to be just a cake stand.
