A few nights ago I quickly made these 3 cute pictures with my girls (2 5 yr olds & a 6 yr old). The following morning they trundled off to school with them so they could be sent off and turned into Christmas cards as a fund-raising venture.
These are classic Christmas pictures that you’ll be able to find examples of all over the web. Adding different materials and texture adds character and makes them a little bit more individual
I cut up all the bits of felt and pipe cleaner before hand and the girls then had to stick it all together how they wanted. The hardest part was not being able to use any glitter (I like a bit of sparkle) but the machines that make the cards don’t like it. Once we get the cards and artwork back I think we’ll maybe add that missing shine.
They are easy to make and I think the results are brilliant.
The Reindeer
Uses: A potato, coloured card, green & red felt, brown and white paint, brown traditional pipe cleaners, black felt tip, snow flake sprinkles and glue.
Cut a small potato in half dip it in brown paint to make the reindeer heads. You could draw feet underneath the heads or use a slightly larger potato half to add a body.
Father Christmas
Uses : A4 Coloured card, glue, white, blue, red, pink and black paint. Assorted decorations
The Snowman
Uses: A4 card, black, orange & red felt, white paint, black felt tip, brown traditional pipe cleaners, snow flake scatter shapes.

I always think home-made cards are nicer than bought ones. So much more character! These are ever so cute! :O)
