A few weeks ago my girls were sent the gorgeous DesignAFriend Doll Charlotte, by Chad Valley to review.
They had no idea which doll they had been sent or that they were also going to unbox some cute accessories as well So armed with a camcorder I captured their unboxing reaction …
DesignAFriend Charlotte is a beautiful doll; standing a healthy 18″ tall with luscious, extra long, blonde hair and a natural complexion. She has moveable plastic arms and legs and a soft body and comes dressed in a beautiful turquoise outfit consisting of a dress, maxi skirt, pair of glitter sandals and a flower head band….
My girls love her!
Her outfit is is cleverly designed to split into two outfits (you can remove the long skirt turning her outfit into a knee length dress).
The attention to detail is amazing and very good quality … the glitter stays on the shoes and the shoes stay on the feet!
The elasticated flower headband is easy to put on and off without damaging the flowers or leaf detail. You can wear the headband as shown in the photo or running around the forehead in a 70’s style.
Charlotte is one doll from a series of DesignAFriend dolls.
Each doll comes presented in a beautiful pink and grey spotted gift box with a silver coloured charm bracelet for your child to wear and a little fashion diary. There are also lots of extra fun items you can buy to go with your DesignAFriend doll. These include additional DesignAFriend Fashion outfits that also come with a charm to add to the charm bracelet, accessories, furniture and playlets. Have a look at the Argos website to see the full range.
As a parent I love that she hasn’t been sexualised like so many of the dolls on the market. She has a fresh natural look and feel about her. I also prefer the size of her to the smaller dolls my girls have. It’s seems a more appropriate size to interact with and the clothes are easier to take on and off.
This is a doll collection that will light up the eyes of any doll loving girl or boy. The delight starts from the moment you set eyes on the beautiful gift box and continues as you unwrap the tissue paper and gaze at the charming doll that lies beneath.
Keep an eye out for more vlogs and blogs as we show you the other outfits and accessories we were sent in more detail. In the mean time you can watch the vlog above that shows the whole bundle of goodies we received.
Oh and don’t forget to keep up to date with the latest DesignAFriend news by following them on Instagram and Facebook.

You girls are adorable. I remember having a big doll when I was younger and I adored her. I love the fact that the girls get a bracelet too. How clever
Aww your girls are natural born presenters! I love the 1,2,3 countdown then “oh”! It made me laugh – then they both reacted with “This is exactly what I wanted!” so cute!
They weren’t expecting the tissue paper and for a moment wondered what they were opening 🙂
I love the excitement of your girls as they open the packages, and there are so many of them. What a lovely doll and with so many accessories I can see your girls having hours of fun.
Looks perfect for any girl (or boy) who loves dolls. I hope your daughters have lots of fun with her x
This looks great and I absolutely love that you get a bracelet too. Great idea.
Isn’t she fabulous!
Great size and exactly the sort of doll every little girl should have.
Beautiful

How gorgeous is that doll, I know Eliza would love it. She loves dressing and undressing hers at the moment
I love that she is a big doll so you can have a good cuddle. I’m with you on her natural look too.
She is beautiful, loving the teal outfit, Emma would certainly love it as well!
