Homemade Chocolate Spoons Are The Perfect Last Minute Gift

Homemade chocolate spoons are a really quick, relatively easy and cheap gift to make for teachers, friends and family. You can get three or four gifts from a bar of chocolate depending on the size of the spoons.

These Homemade Chocolate Spoons are super simple and make a fabulous gift

Ingredients For Making Chocolate Spoons

  • A good quality chocolate bar (I’ve used Green & Blacks milk and white chocolate)
  • Plastic disposable spoons
  • Greaseproof paper
  • Cellophane gift bag
  • wooden spoons for propping up your plastic spoons

How To Make Chocolate Spoons

The first thing you need to do is melt your chocolate either (use separate bowls) in a microwave or bain-marie (bowl over a pan of boiling water).

Whilst the chocolate is melting layout your spoons on a sheet of grease-proof paper. I prop up the plastic spoons using a wooden kitchen spoon handle.

Melted chocolate stays soft for a long time so don’t rush the next step.

Using a teaspoon spoon carefully fill your plastic spoons with chocolate. Use a cocktail stick to gently smooth out the chocolate, remove bubbles, and spread it evenly to the edges. Leave for about half and hour until the chocolate just starts to solidify.

How to make chocolate spoons

Gently melt your chocolate again and drizzle white chocolate over the milk and milk chocolate over the white. Now leave for a few hours for all the chocolate to set.

Finally, when the chocolate is completely set put three of each colour in a small cellophane bag and add a homemade pompom tie.
