Have you heard of Moodles? No?
Well be in the dark no more.
Moodles are doodles with the power to change your mood. Full of illustrated prompts this book is designed to enhance your mood wherever you lie on the happiness spectrum.
All you need are a few pencils and some time to let you imagination run free. It’s amazing how cathartic a little doodle can be … for all ages. It provides an opportunity to remove yourself from the hussle and bussle of everyday live even if it’s for just a few minutes.
I was sent a copy of HAPPY (You can also buy STRESSED and GRUMPY) to have a play with.
It’s a nice sized book (an over sized A5) so easy to pop in a bag, rucksack or briefcase. Perfect for taking on holiday!
The paper is an ok quality and works well with pencil, charcoal and pastel but felt pens bleed through the back of the page and transferred a little onto the next page.
The prompts are general and varied. Sometimes your given an empty page with a text prompt other times you have more of an image and have to add detail.
It’s definitely a book for doodling … you have to draw your pictures to colour in … so if your after some colouring therapy this is not the book for you.
This Moodle Doodle book would make a great gift for both children and adults, especially if paired with a lovely set of colouring pencils. It would also be fun for some family quiet time. Imagine how different the doodles would be for each family member including grandparents. Ha, I could even see a copy being a great guest book. Can you imagine if you had different friends doodle, sign and date a page each time they came round? What a memory book that would be!
Published by Parragon Books it retails for around £5, but if you have a search around the web you can often find it cheaper.
