What would we do without a pair of wellies? Love them or loathe them we all need at least one pair of Wellington Boots in our shoe rack in order to deal with the wonderful British weather.
What I love about wellies is that there is such a vast range to choose from. We are no longer stuck with sensible green, black or navy. You can get red, green, pink, stripes, spots, flowers, glitter, heels, flats, knee-high, ankle high … the list goes on and on. And you can buy them everywhere!
Yesterday I became the proud owner of a new pair of knee-high ‘Hunter’ wellies. They were an emergency buy as I’d left mine at home and needed a pair to go stomping around a muddy garden/field. But it’s my birthday next week so the perfect time to buy myself a little treat.
What I’ve come to realise is that practically I need two pairs of wellies.
It’s not that I’m greedy. In the summer I wear ankle-biter wellies with thin summer socks. Come the winter I want warmth and comfort, thick socks, and full leg protection from the cold winter rain. My winter wellies are a full shoe size bigger than my summer wellies.

Pretty. I wanted Hunter’s but the budget wouldn’t allow. I got black spotty ones instead
Oh those are nice – I didn’t think wellies could look stylish!
Where can you buy this color of these boots new?
The dark ruby hunter gloss rain boot?
ooh, I’m not sure. These were bought from a small local shop, not online
