Tuna Mayo Salad Bowl Packed Lunch – #MoreThanASandwhich

Sometimes I just want to pull together a quick packed lunch for the girls or even better I want them to be able to do it. This Tuna Mayo Salad Bowl is perfect for them to chomp on and very filling.

The Salad Bowl Contains

  • Tuna Mayo
  • Pesto Bow Pasta
  • Fine Green Beans
  • Sugar Snaps
  • Carrots
  • Cucumber
  • Tomato

Extra’s – Choc chip cookie and petit filous.
Drink – Water.

These Polar Gear Bowls aren’t that good for keeping things hot but they are perfect for making up a cute Salad Bowl.  I think it looks more appetising having it all carefully placed in the bowl rather than separated out in various little pots. There’s even room to add some thick crusty bread at the top

Sigg bottles might cost a bit more but they last such a long time. When the girls were younger I tried various cheaper plastic bottles but they would end up leaking in their bags at some point.  So when they started remembering to bring everything home with them (including school uniform) we switched to these sturdy little Sigg bottles and so far we have been leak free!

The cute  Lunch bags were from Father Christmas (he did a good job getting them!). They’re insulated and quite solid so fruit etc doesn’t get damaged. Most importantly they’re a good size and easily hold a thermos, water bottle, biscuit, fruit, yoghurt, crisp packet etc without anything getting crushed.
