The Best Refreshing Kiwi Smoothie Ever

If you’re after a refreshing drink full of goodness for hot summer days then this kiwi smoothie will hit just the right spot.

The best refreshing smoothie ever in under 10 minutes. My kids love this.

Kiwi Smoothie Recipe

[amd-yrecipe-recipe:10]

This kiwi smoothie recipe comes from a fabulous book by Parragon called Juice that I was send to review a few months back.

This thick book is about A5 in size and crammed full of 100+ nutritious, tasty, smoothie and juice recipes.

A fantastic smooyhie and juice book by Parragon

The book is  broken down into six main chapters: Energy, Rehydrate, Nourish, Glow, Soothe and Detox, as well as a great index at the back that allows you to search via ingredient for a recipe.  And each recipe is accompanied by a beautiful photo that shows what your finished smoothie or juice should look like.

I use smoothies a lot as meals for my for my girls, especially during term time. They’re great quick and light meals that give them a nutritious boost before or after their various clubs. The top of each recipe in the book contains lots of useful information. I love this detail as it helps me plan which recipes to use when and where, especially if I need a more energy rich smoothie to give to my girls before any of their sporting activities.

Bootroot smoothie recipe

Spread throughout the book you’ll also find information pages detailing what the individual benefits of eating specific fruits are.

A great smoothie recipe book with details of specific fruit nutrition and goodness

Most of the recipes contain ingredients that aren’t too off the beaten track from your usual fruit and veg. There are some recipes that contain products you might not normally buy (almond milk, soya milk, wheatgerm, etc) but you can easily purchase them in large supermarkets. Occasionally there is the odd ‘not so easy to get hold of’ products such as bee pollen but theses are few and far between and I’ve found the recipes work fine leaving the product out.

A great selection of healthy and nutritious smoothie and juicer recipes

This is a great family book with a lovely mix of recipes using a mixture of fruit and vegetables. Some of the recipes are meant for a juicer (which I haven’t got) but I’ve been happy making all of the recipes as a smoothie.

I don’t think we’ve ever used loganberries. It’s not something we see in the shops.
