Materials Required

You will need

• Lipstick
• Red Felt (or any colour you love)
• Cardstock (an old cereal box works great!)
• Red ribbon
• A4 plain paper
• PVA glue or sewing thread
• Gold paint

How to Make the ‘Little Book of Kisses’ Ornament

Prepare The Felt Cover

• Cut a piece of felt measuring 16cm x 5cm.
• Fold it in half to create a defined crease.
• Glue a loop of red ribbon to the top center of the felt to make a hanger.

Create the Cardboard Spine

• Cut a piece of cardboard measuring 7cm x 4cm.
• Fold it in half to define the spine of your book.
• Glue the folded cardboard onto the center of the felt, aligning the creases. Be careful not to stretch the felt as you glue it in place.

Assemble the Felt Cover

• Fold the edges of the felt over the cardboard and glue them down. Leave a small gap at the spine crease to allow the pages to be glued.

Make the Book Pages

• Cut three strips of plain paper slightly smaller than the book cover.
• Fold each strip in half to form the pages of the book.
• Glue the spine of one folded piece into the book cover.
• Repeat with the remaining pages, stacking them neatly in the center.

 

Add a Gold Kiss to the Cover

Using gold paint, carefully paint the floating kiss on the outside of the felt cover. Let it dry completely.

Now for the Fun Part; Fill the Pages with Love

Put lipstick on each family member and have them kiss a page in the book. These kisses will become a treasured keepsake!

Once your ‘Little Book of Kisses’ is complete, hang it on your Christmas tree to enjoy throughout the holiday season.
