It’s the perfect way to show appreciation, whether it’s for Mother’s Day, a birthday, Christmas or just as a thoughtful surprise.

Choosing the Best Container for Your Pampering Gift Basket

When putting a gift hamper together, I always try to use a reusable container that adds to the gift’s value. For this Pamper Hamper, I found a beautifully curved wooden tray at IKEA that created the perfect ‘Spa Feel’. Not only does it look elegant, but it can also be reused for storage or decoration.

What to Put in a DIY Pamper Hamper?

The best DIY pamper hampers are filled with homemade pampering treats, relaxation gifts, and beauty essentials to create a spa-like experience at home. to create a truly indulgent experience.:

  • Homemade Citrus Body Scrub – A natural exfoliating scrub using common household products.
  • Homemade Calendula & Lavender Bath Soak – Perfect for a relaxing soak in the tub.
  • Scented Candle (store-bought or hand made) – Creates a calming ambiance. But you can easily make your own like these seashell candles I made here
  • Soft White Muslin Cloths (store-bought) – Essential for gentle cleansing and exfoliating. I’m a big fan of Eve Lom muslin cloths that last for years and can be easily washed. And I love their natural face balm cleanser that leaves your skin feeling gorgeous!
  • Hairband (store-bought) – Keeps hair away while applying skincare.
  • Soft White Flannel (store-bought) – Gentle on the face for washing and drying.
  • Homemade Lip Balm – Packaged in both a clear pot or a tin.
  • Nail Files (store-bought) – A manicure essential.
  • Moisturising Hand Cream (store-bought) – Keeps hands soft and nourished.

How to Present Your DIY Pamper Hamper for Maximum Wow Factor

To make the hamper visually appealing and cohesive:

  • Glass Jars for Homemade Products – I stored the bath soak and body scrub in glass jars, adding an eco-friendly and elegant touch.
  • Salt Spoons for a Luxurious Feel – I found some old salt spoons in a charity shop and tied them to the lids with twine. They make the jars look extra special and could even be gifted separately! Old spoons and ladels always look great but you can also use wooden scoops.
  • Neatly Rolled Flannel & Accessories – Rolling up the white flannel/muslin cloth with the hand cream and nail file looks cute.
  • Layering & Raffia Ribbon – Arranging the contents carefully and tying everything with natural raffia ribbon gives the hamper a polished spa-like aesthetic.
