Have you heard about the new AmiGami craft toy by Mattel? They are super cute, little plastic creatures with interchangeable patterned paper parts.
They are great fun to do on your own but even more fun if you get a bunch of your buddies together for an AmiGami Craft Party.
Each pet comes with 30 ‘push out’ decorative paper parts that are attached to the plastic animal body via little plastic clips. The paper parts just get pushed out so you don’t need any other tools … how marvellous is that!?

You can even curl the decorative paper parts using the plastic rod that comes in the pack.

Because they are so straight forward the kids were able to get on and make them pretty much all by themselves. There were a couple of more fiddly paper parts that some needed help popping out but that was it.
Cute stickers allow you to accessories your pet with bows, hearts flowers … even glasses.

And the paper parts can be interchanged daily meaning that you’re cute little AmiGami Pet never looks the same.

The funky creativity and team work they generate is wonderful to watch.

The perfect craft present that will definitely get used again and again and generate hours of endless fun.
Mattel sent me the AmiGami toys to have this party with. All words and images are my own and we were already a fan of these having given them as gifts to my own girls and their friends.

They remind me so much of the Zooble toys you can get! My crafty tween would adore these x
These look so cute, what a lovely crafty idea! x
The look of concentration on everyone’s face is priceless (and I suspect peaceful) x
We reviewed these a while ago and absolutely loved them 🙂
I love the faces of concentration. I know that my niece would love these,
This looks a lot of fun. My son would like the idea, but I wonder if the designs are too girly for him.
we had this a while a go and the girls loved it you could see howmuch they concentrated on doing them and they could change them later on , x
That looks like the type of party activity Ruby would love. It’s great that they can get on with it themselves independently.
And is that a plaster cast I spy? What happened? 🙁
Eliza is a bit young for these but will check them out for my niece for her birthday
These look brilliant and I love the quirky and colourful designs.
These look like a great introduction to origami for kids that are still a little young to be folding paper swans. The coloured paper is a hit and really makes them for me.
these look very cute , one for older kids
Ooh they are adorable, love them – and love how the looks of deep concentration too – they obvs really enjoyed making them!
These look so colourful and fun to make. Even an adult would love to make them.
This looks like a great craft that would engage lots of younger and older children too.
