Being sent a Disney Dumbo Soft Toy to review to tie in with the New Disney Dunbo movie, being released at the end of March, was never going to be a hardship!
The new Disney Dumbo film is directed by Tim Burton with a cast that includes Eva Green, Michael Keaton, Colin Farrell and Danny DeVito. Along with lifelike CGI Dumbo and this is where the gorgeous new Disney Dumbo Soft Toy by Flair/Just Play comes in.
This gorgeous 13″ Dumbo Plus is not only adorable but comes with his trademark, massive ears, that actually move! Yep. The big ears that make us fall in love with Dumbo actually move back and forward, covering his eyes! Oh, and if that wasn’t enough he makes a super cute trumpeting elephant noise.
To make his ears move you squeeze his left foot (right looking at the photo’s).
Disney Dumbo Soft Toy Mechanism
He’s super soft to touch and made of gorgeous grey, velveteen fabric. Although you can feel the mechanics that make his ears move and some care will be needed with younger kids to make sure they don’t damage the ear mechanism. The battery pouch is cleverly hidden in the front part of belly behind the legs making the back part of Dumbo super soft… which is important as that’s likely to be the most hugged and squeezed part of Dumbo when he gets all his cuddles! His head is soft at the front but you can feel the mechanism for the ears at the back of his head.
I particularly love the attention to detail; big blue eyes, curled trunk, stitched eyelashes and eye furrows, toenails and stitched trunk wrinkles. They all come together to create a Dumbo Plush that really captures the essence of the Dumbo we know and love in the films.
Currently available in Smyths Toys this cute Disney Dumbo Soft Toy is going to be a big hit with Dumbo fans of all ages.
