Choose thicker paper like cardstock for a more durable wrap or regular printer paper if you prefer a lighter, easier-to-cut version. Personally, I find printer paper works fine.
Colour In The The Candle Wraps
Get creative and colour in the Halloween designs before cutting them out! You can use lots all kinds of colouring materials;

They all look great and give different effects. Just be aware that some of the designs have smaller design elements and may need a finer point. I’ve put links to some of my favorite materials in the list brackets. is a great mindful activity for kids and adults.
Cut Out the Wrap
Once coloured in, carefully cut along the lines of the candle wrap template.

I cut around the main square neatly and loosely around the detailed area first. Then I go in and carefully cut around the detailed outline.
Assemble Your Halloween Candle Wrap
The simple way to assemble the wrap is to fold along the dotted line and wrap the finished template around a tea light holder, securing in place with a small piece of tape, glue dot etc.

Some of the images go right to the bottom of the candle wrap and others leave a bit of a gap which means you can have fun with different types of battery operated candles/tea lights.

If using real candles, I recommend making the wraps as loose as possible to keep the paper away from the flame to avoid any risk of fire. And never leave them unattended… battery-operated tea lights are much safer for this project!
