What Are Little Brian Paint Sticks

Little Brian Paint Sticks are water-soluble, child-friendly solid paint that twists up and down like a glue stick.

Little Brian Classic Colours

They come in a variety of colours (classic, day glow, and metallic) and can be used on loads of different types of material; paper, card, glass, foil, mirrors, polystyrene, pebbles etc. They are super easy to use, although some of the younger kids may need help popping the lids off, depending on how strong their hand grip is.

Oh, and before I forget… within a few minutes, they are touch dry and smudge-free! No more tears because of accidental smudges by little hands rubbing the paper or the face! Yes. The Little Brain Face Paints are smudge-free too!

Paint Sticks Bucket

This clear plastic bucket is a really handy storage solution that’s easy to be carried/transported around.

Little Brian Paint Sticks Bucket

It contains 12 classic colours, 6 day-glow colours and 2 metallics (gold and silver) paint sticks.

All the paint sicks fit neatly in the tub making it easy to pick the colours you want without having to take them all out.

Giant Paint Stick

The Little Brain Gian Paint Stick Tube is made of cardboard and contains 30 assorted paint sticks.

Inside you will get the 12 classic colours, 6 day glow colours and 12 metallic colours.

The tube is brightly coloured, easy to open, and a fun way to store all your paint sticks. The only downside is you have to tip them all out to see all the colours. And you could choose to store something else in the cardboard tube once it’s open.

Face Paint Sticks

The Little Brian Face Paint Sticks work in exactly the same way as the standard Paint stick they’re just designed to be safely used on the face.

There’s no need for sponges brushes or water as you can use them just like a glue stick. This does mean the facepaint designs need to be on the simple side but you can still have loads of fun. Some of the colours are stronger than others but they will be influenced by skin tone and the other colours being used with them.

Face Paint Swatches

Because they dry quickly it means they won’t suffer from smudging.

How To Use Little Brian Paint Sticks

As mentioned earlier The Little Brian Painsticks are super easy to use and glide onto paper (and other materials).

Because the paint is solid and kept in easy to hold tubes there’s little to no mess and mess that does get on the table (scribbles that run off the paper) can be wiped off with water. Plus they are a delight to use as they’re easy to hold and feel super silky and smooth when used. A bit like a luxurious lipstick.

Day Glow Colours

There are loads of different techniques that can be used. The easiest being to just twist the Little Brian Paint Stick up and draw with it. Because of their size very delicate work cand going neatly up to the edges, if coloring in, can be tricky. But there is so much more to them than this.

Because of the shape dotting images is great fun and this include the facepaints.

Dotting on Facepaint

You can blend also the colours by using a paint brush and water afterwards.

The Little Brian Paint Sticks are brilliant for colouring polystyrene shapes. The paint doesn’t flake, bubble or slide off. This makes for some amazing modeling and fun. We’ve used them to make Halloween eyeballs, caterpillars and other bugs. They’d be great for making planets.

Because they are water based you can use them on windows, mirrors, chalkboard and wipe boards. When you’ve finished get a damp cloth and wipe away (you may need to wipe a lot depending how thick and large the area is).

Printing With Little Brian Face Paint Sticks

They’re great for printing with but you do need to make sure your print block is textured so the paint stick material sticks. We found smooth print blocks didn’t work but had success with foam packaging, thick card from cardboard boxes and craft foam. I suspect potatoes and other root vegetables would be good as long as the cut area was dried a little. WE had a brilliant time turning ourselves into walls

As a creative product the Little Brian Paint Sticks are very versatile, easy to use, store and transport which for me makes them a must-have in any art cupboard.
